About Our Club

Our story

Heatherton United Soccer Club was formed in the mid-1990s by members of the Bosnian community who were looking to build more than just a football club. It was a place to come together, to connect and to create something positive for families through sport and culture.

That spirit still sits at the heart of the club today.

A club for families

We’re a family-oriented club where kids can enjoy the game, parents feel welcome and players are supported at every stage of their football journey, from their first kick through to senior football.

Many of our families have been with the club for years. Some for generations. That sense of familiarity, care and belonging is something we’re incredibly proud of.

Football with purpose

Over the years, the club has competed across different levels of State League football, experiencing promotion, tough seasons and strong periods of competition. Those experiences have shaped the way we approach the game.

While we’re proud of our history on the pitch, our focus has always been on giving every player a fair go, meaningful game time and the chance to thrive in a positive environment.

A home that brings us together

More than a football ground

Heatherton United is fortunate to call a club-owned facility home, something that’s rare in local football. Based in Springvale South, our home includes two full-sized pitches, stadium lighting, change rooms, a hall, canteen and the space we need to train, play and come together as a community.

Having a home of our own gives us a real sense of stability and pride. It’s where players train on weeknights, families gather on weekends, and generations of players pull on the club colours and create a lasting impact.

A place for community

Beyond football, our multipurpose hall plays an important role in club life. It’s home to Bosnia & Herzegovina Centre (BH Centar) cultural events, traditional folk dancing classes, celebrations, weddings, presentation nights and private functions – moments that bring people together and strengthen our community beyond the pitch.

We’re proud of where we’ve come from and grateful to the people who have helped shape the club over the years.

Most of all, we’re excited about what’s ahead and look forward to welcoming the next generation of players, families and volunteers who will continue to shape Heatherton United.

More than football.
a place to belong.
